This is a Klismos-style chair in good used condition. It is used. The design is inspired by seating shown on ancient Greek pottery. It is mid century, modern style. The frame appears to be Walnut or a similar dark stained wood. It has leather thongs on the seat. The chair features a distinctive curved backrest and elegantly splayed out curved legs.
It has had minor repairs to the seat corners and leather thong staples, otherwise, it would cost a lot more money.
I could not find any brass manufacturers plate or any numbers in the legs or seat bottom to identify who made it.
