This is the one everyone wishes they bought new: final-year Korean Samick factory build with all the specs Gretsch later changed or dropped.

● Rosewood-base pinned Adjusto-Matic bridge (rosewood, not laurel/laminate)
● Original Blacktop Filter’Tron pickups (warmer and fatter than the newer FT-5E)
● Cream binding & aged-cream pearloid Neo-Classic thumbnail inlays
● U-shaped maple neck
● Traditional parallel-post bracing (more open, woody tone than the current trestle-block bracing)
