Level 1/2 Help Desk/On-Site Technician (Hobe Sound, FL)

This position is for a Level 1 or Level 2 Help Desk Technician to work at our home office in Hobe Sound, FL

Technical qualifications are the second most important group characteristics we are looking for.

Our clients are mostly businesses and individuals throughout Martin and Palm Beach County.

More than 90% of our reactive calls are handled via remote access.

The person who gets this position will be responsible for dispatching and help desk calls. Escalation procedures and policies are in writing and easy to understand and follow. We are a small business that is organized like a large business.

1) A network issue was not able to be resolved at the help desk due to connection problems. You have been dispatched to the client's location to resolve the issue. You find that there is an intermittent problem with a router that was recently installed by a competitor. How would you proceed?

2) A virus has infected a client's PC and you are troubleshooting the issue from the help desk. The virus has done serious damage to the customer's PC and you have determined that the virus has done so much damage to the OS that you will need to reinstall the OS. The customer is not computer savvy and needs to retain their files, documents and software. How would you proceed?
